Further Encounters gathers silk, felt and soft fabric in a collection that moves between small details and larger surfaces. Loose strips, openings, folds and distinct shapes offer different qualities for children to notice. ANDY introduces a larger piece alongside the smaller forms of TOBY, CONY, SILKI, BORDI, HANDY, TRIANGULAR and SILLY.

The collection can sit among the materials children already know, with time and space to discover connections for themselves. There is no sequence to follow and no need to introduce every piece at once. Familiar materials can be returned to, with each encounter leaving room for something different.

Further Encounters: £60 for the set—a saving of £8.95 compared with buying individually.

Included: One each of TOBY, CONY, SILKI, BORDI, HANDY, TRIANGULAR, SILLY and ANDY. TOBY and HANDY each include their usual pair.

Origin and size: Designed in Iceland and handmade in Nepal. Slight variations are part of each piece’s individual character. Please see the individual product pages for approximate dimensions.

Care: Fabric pieces: cool wash and air dry. Felt: gently spot clean with cool water and wool-safe detergent; reshape and air dry away from direct heat. Do not machine wash or tumble dry felt.
